Charlie Ammann is passionate about two things: Texas and being outdoors. 

As a fourth generation Texan, Charlie’s great grandfather ran a saddle shop on Austin’s Sixth Street in the late 1800s, where they supplied gun holsters for the Texas Rangers. His grandfather, John B. Connally, a former Governor of Texas, introduced Charlie to the outdoors at their family ranch, where Charlie would spend summers learning the ins and outs of ranch life. 

For the past 17 years, Charlie has combined passion with profession in the ranching and hunting industry, where he acts as a licensed Realtor specializing in ranch properties, and owns and operates his own ranch and hunting company.  Focusing on real estate these days, Charlie is proud to have assisted in many glamping and ranch investment property transactions. 

When Covid hit, Charlie found himself constantly asked where are the best Texas spots to safely soak up the outdoors without the need for camping gear. Glamping in Texas was born.
